In addition to my regular tithes and offerings to Our Savior Church and School, I support numerous missions focused on helping persecuted Christians. Persecution is not just happening in other parts the world by atheistic governments, it’s happening right here in America. The FBI, DOJ, and IRS under the present and previous Democrat administrations have investigated, threatened, canceled, silenced, sued, arrested, indicted and penalized pregnancy centers, parents protesting CRT, LGBT, Marxist indoctrination and recruitment in our schools, people protesting election fraud, people protecting themselves, their families, their businesses in self-defense, churchgoers in conservative churches, political opponents, etc., etc., and have used government regulations and taxpayer money to promote WOKE mandates in schools, businesses, social and mainstream media, our military, foreign policy and aid, etc., etc.
“Jesus said, “I will build My Church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.”
Matthew 16:18
Nothing is Off The Table
In many other countries it’s much worse. According to a recent report from within Communist China, “dozens of Church members were arrested, beaten with clubs, jolted with electric prods and burned with cigarettes. Interrogators stomped on the fingers of male prisoners and horrifically abused the helpless women prisoners.” In parts of India and Nigeria, Christians live in constant fear of raids, killings, kidnappings, church burnings, and try to sleep to the sound of not distant gunfire. Nothing is off the table against Christians in militant, tyrannical, hostile Communist, Muslim and Hindu environments–and increasingly in America. We need to remember them in our prayers and do what we can to help them survive spiritually and physically (provide Bibles, food, shelter, awareness, etc.).
“I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel. . . And most of the brothers, having become confident in the Lord by my imprisonment, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.”
Philippians 1:14
Persecuted & Imprisoned
“Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you are also in the body.” (Hebrews 13:10) Many of these brothers and sisters in Christ, like the Apostle Paul, who was often persecuted and imprisoned, are undeterred, “I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel. . . And most of the brothers, having become confident in the Lord by my imprisonment, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.” (Philippians 1:12-14) Jesus said, “I will build My Church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:18)
