Revelation 20:4 says of millennial Christians (us): “They lived and ruled with Christ a thousand years.” If you are a faithful Christian, holding to, proclaiming and living under the authority of God’s Word, you will make a lot of people very uncomfortable. They will complain about you judging them, being a “Christian nationalist,” narrow-minded, intolerant, even haters, etc., etc. God’s people speak truth to falsehood and right to wrong. They don’t make the rules, they just speak where God has spoken. “The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:4-5) In this way people feel judged. It is God’s Spirit working on their own conscience. “Thanks be to God who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of Him everywhere. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to some an aroma of death that kills, to others an aroma of life that gives life.” (2 Corinthians 2:15-16) Even the Old Testament prophecies “thrones of judgment were set, the thrones of the house of David.” (note the plurals, Psalm 122:5)
“But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task?”
2 Corinthians 2:14-16
Everything is Uncovered and Exposed
“God’s Word is living and active, it cuts better than any two-edged sword. It pierces until it divides the soul and spirit, joints and marrow. And it can judge thoughts and purposes of the heart. No creature can hide from Him. Everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to Whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:12-13) God says, “Is not My Word like fire, and like a hammer that shatters a rock.” (Jeremiah 23:29)
I Choose You
Christ now rules and reigns and conquers, and His Church rules and reigns and conquers with Him. In fact, in Christ we are “more than conquerors.” (Romans 8:37) Jesus refers to all faithful Christians when He says, “If you lose your life for Me, you’ll find it.” (Matthew 10:39) Likewise, Revelation (20:4) refers to all the faithful as “the souls of those beheaded on account of the witness of Jesus and on account of the Word of God.” As Jesus told His disciples: “If the world hates you, you know it hated Me first . . .I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” (John 15:18-19)
Indeed, Christianity is not for sissies. “But our “light, momentary afflictions are preparing us for an everlasting weight of glory, greater than anything we can imagine.” (2 Corinthians 4:1)
