The 18th Century was marked by the emergence of a great nation that was founded by many God-fearing leaders based on Biblical principles, at its core the dominance and free exercise of religion (Christianity). In the mid-19th Century the devil made a strong counter attack under the influence of two godless Europeans, Charles Darwin and Karl Marx. In the mid-20th Century the Lord raised up various Creation Science ministries that have progressively destroyed the credibility of godless, absurd and unscientific Evolution, the myth that underlies Communism and all misery-spreading WOKE ideologies, which are now being exposed and opposed on many fronts. It is a titanic struggle between God-fearers and God-haters.
Let all the earth fear the Lord;
let all the people of the world revere him.
For he spoke, and it came to be;
he commanded, and it stood firm.
The LORD’s Eye is on Those who Fear Him
Psalm 33 emphasizes God as Creator and Sovereign, and the futility of denying/opposing Him: “The Lord made the heavens by His Word, and all the stars by the Breath of His mouth. He gathers the water of the sea in a jar and puts the deep waters in storage. The whole earth should fear the LORD, and all who live in the world be in awe of Him. He spoke and it was, He ordered and it came into being. The LORD makes the plans of the nations fail, He hinders them in what they propose to do. But what the LORD plans stands firm forever; what He proposes is for all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He chose to be His own. . . A king can’t win victory just with a large army, or a hero save himself just by his great strength. . . Remember the LORD’s eye is on those who fear Him, who look hopefully in His mercy. . . We long for the LORD, Who helps us and shields us. Yes, our hearts delight in Him, and we trust His holy name. May Your mercy be on us, O LORD, as we look hopefully to You.” (Psalm 33:6-12, 16, 20-22)
Fear Him and You will Lack Nothing
What this country needs is Godfearing leaders. I’m referring to the God of our fathers, Yahweh, the Triune God, the Lord Jesus Christ, King of kings and Lord of lords. (Revelation 19:1) Consider the promises of Psalm 34: “Fear the LORD, you who are His holy ones; fear Him, and you will lack nothing.” (Psalm 34:9) This conviction and practice needs to be recovered and permeate our education system:
The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
Come, sons and daughters, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
Pray for the growing momentum throughout our land for freedom of choice in education — stopping the current prejudice and discrimination against God-honoring, Christ-centered, Bible-based schools and families. It wasn’t always this way, and it doesn’t have to stay the way it is now. “The Angel of the LORD (Christ) camps around those who fear Him and rescues them. (Psalm 34:7) “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven!”
The question for the 21st Century is who will prevail, the forces of good or evil, the God-fearers or God-haters. But in the long run, any leader or nation is always way better off as a God-fearer.
